As the only women’s, flat-track roller derby league in Montgomery County, MD, Free State Roller Derby (FSRD) is hometown and homegrown. Founded in November 2009, FSRD is 100 percent volunteer-run by a growing group of devoted skaters and Fresh Meat, and is backed by a dedicated crew of referees and non-skating officials (NSOs).

FSRD is a 501(c)(3) organization.

If you can handle the heat, get in the kitchen!

Join Free State Roller Derby at 7 Locks Brewing for an afternoon of hot chili, cold beer, and great prizes—and support a great cause!

Ten percent of the proceeds will be donated to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance to support colorectal cancer research in honor of the man, the ref, the chili legend: Ref N G.

Taster/judge tickets are $10 at the door. This includes a wristband, your magic tasting spoon, and access to all the chili you can handle.

Don't want to taste? For $5 you can have access to cold beer and our exciting silent auction items.
